Dr. Cyrus Chalie begins his studies in eye care field as an ophthalmic nurse in 1990 and graduated with Bachelor of Science in Optometry Degree in 1998. After immigration to Canada Dr. Chalie graduated from the University of Waterloo International Optometrists Bridging Program in 2008. Practicing as an ophthalmic nurse in eye emergency department and as an optometrist in several eye clinics in Iran, Toronto, Victoria and Vancouver enhanced Dr. Chalie’s knowledge in ocular disease and his ability to provide comprehensive care for all ages.

FEES/COVERAGES
A comprehensive eye examination for an adult age 19-64 is $100,00. Children under the age of 19 have full coverage for preventive eye examinations with a valid and active BC Health Services Card. BC senior (65 or more) have partial coverage through the BC Medical Services Plan; the co-pay for seniors is $30. We will bill BC MSP directly for any services for which you are eligible.
We welcome individuals with BC Social Services (Ministry of Human Resources), First Nations Health Authority (Status card) and Department of Veteran Affairs (Canada) coverage to schedule appointments.
We are able to direct bill some private insurance companies (see below) as well as eye examinations covered by Federal Government Programs such as RCMP and Department of National Defense Canadian Forces Members. If you do not already have information that explains your benefits, you may want to ask your employer the details of your plan.
